The Burghley House
The Burghley House is located in Stamford, England. The Burghley House would become one of the largest and most magnificent houses to come out of the 16th century. This house would be named after William Cecil, the 1st Baron Burghley, who was the Lord High Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth I. To this day the heirs of his fortune have lived there ever since. A portion of the house is open to the public to see. This includes rooms in which shows/movies were filmed, such as Pride and Prejudice (2005), and The Da Vinci Code (2006) just to name a few.
